Day 503-511 Hello World

Right so its been awhile since I've posted last.  The longest time away since I started this silliness.

The short story is the streak is alive and the knee is feeling good.

I haven't run more than one mile / day since the marathon (three weeks) in order to give some rest and recuperation time to the knee and I think it has helped.  

Now is the time to start running again.  You know, at least more than one mile.

How does a 50 miler sound?  Ridiculous?  Yes.  Stupid? Yes.  Injury-inducing? Likely.  No chance of making it?  Of course.  Gonna try it anyways?  mmmm still thinking about it.

507 - 1.0 in 10:00
508 - 1.0 in 9:32
509 - 1.0 in 8:20

50 miler?! UHHH WOW. One of my friends is thinking of doing a 30 mile ultra, that I think I could do. 50... WOW.

As for 10Ks, only one slated so far for June 13, doesn't give me much time for speed, so I'm hunting for some in late summer.

Question: Are the 50 miles consecutively in the same race? That wasn't real clear. Because if it is 50 miles at a 1 mile a day rate, then you are probably already there right?

I say, go for it. Life is short. Why not make it a bit shorter?

It'll suck. Mine did. But it'll be worth it.
My only suggestion: Find a TRAIL race to do.

50 miles?! I'd lose my mind. No ipod music in the world would entertain me that long.
